Hua Shen was amongst the first ever students in China to receive a Masters degree linking both Chinese and Western Medicine, graduating from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine after 7 years study. She was also an acupuncture adviser for foreign students there. In the following years she worked in the Shanghai Tongji University Hospital as a qualified doctor, where she treated a wide variety of conditions using the techniques used in the hospitals in China.
 
Since 2005, Hua Shen has worked in UK private clinics and gained extensive experience of treating a wide range of conditions, using acupuncture, acupressure and cupping

She has both Chinese acupuncture education and experience as well as full membership of the British Acupuncture Council( BAcC), the governing body for professional acupuncturists in the UK. She is also listed in the NHS directory of complementary and alternative therapists.
 
As a member of the British Acupuncture Council she complies with current UK health and safety legislation and the BAcC’s Codes of Safe Practice and Codes of Professional Conduct and she is fully insured.
